Clattenburg, 37, became the subject of a police investigation and Chelsea Football Association over claims that he manyatakan using 'inappropriate language' included a racial slur directed at their Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel.

Wilkes told The Sun newspaper he has been in touch with several former colleagues and they have told him they are considering boycotting the match Chelsea - mainly because in their eyes it's not the first time the club gave the charges against one of them.

"I keep in touch with many young Premier league referees and the strength of feeling there is something like what happened to Mark," he said.

"I know some Premier league referees are even talking about a boycott against Chelsea because of all these problems."

"Remember, this is not the first time Chelsea blames Premier league referees - there Anders Frisk and Graham Poll."

"And some of the Premier league referees now feel this is enough. No exaggeration if we say Premier league referees in this country have never felt more humiliated than this time."
