Arsene Wenger Arsenal Fans Have Respect for Van Persie
Earlier this season, surprisingly mainstay Arsenal striker, Robin van Persie decided to move to a rival club, Manchester United. Mahar 24 million pounds (equivalent to USD 372 billion) managed to secure his services at Old Trafford.
Controversial move what caused outcry among supporters of the Gunners. However, manager Arsene Wenger hopes fans can honor former Arsenal captain when the two teams meet on Saturday (03/11/2012) future.
"I hope he (van Persie) can be respected because he has been playing for eight years. He has worked very well for us," said Wenger told Sky Sports.
"We are conducting a campaign against discrimination, why do not we show this weekend? I do not know what to do with fans but, I think Van Persie received what I expected," he added.
